in more ways than one. Special can also be a nice word to say that I am "unlucky". Sigh, don't know what made her "pick on me".... Maybe she just doesn't like my face.
Sigh, my to-do list is building up.... gotta keep track of it, getting forgetful.
Oh yeah, its so humid! The air is really still, I long to feel the wind blowing against my skin...
Btw, one glance at the CNA website tells me there is another death on the MRT tracks. Its getting quite scary...are we breeding a society who takes the easy way out? A society of copycats? Sometimes, media is a bittersweet pill. By publishing news like that, are we encouraging the not-so-good stuff?

Finally figured out something. heh. Now, I just need to carry it out.
I think I need to do some serious shopping after the 8 november. I need a new pair of sandals among other stuff. Off to Vivocity! Yeah, haven't visited the mega-mall yet.
So I already have my holidays planned out... November is packed already...December is slowly filling up, but there's only 2 regattas at the beginning of Dec then nothing else planned till the 21st Dec. Ok, have to contain my excitement, my misery is not over yet.
Looking forward to next year, I have something planned for the mid of January 2007, which will result in me having to miss a few days of school if all goes according to plan. =)
totally zonked. no thanks to the flu meds. hope the wind changes direction and blows the haze away.
oh yeah, did i mention that prison break and grey's anatomy totally rocks? haha...but too bad grey's anatomy 1st season just ended, can't wait for the 2nd season! so its just prison break to keep me occupied for now. "so you think you can dance" is not bad too.

saturday haze
It seems like the worst haze for singapore only happens on Saturdays. Yeah...a look out my window today tells me that the haze is similar to last saturday's episode. But i don't think it'll reach a PSI of 150. However, it is definitely the highest PSI for the last 5-6 days...although it is not yet reflected in the 3-hr PSI readings. Oh well... I hope I'm not falling sick...I have a little blocked nose and a scratchy throat....just hope it doesn't develop further. *fingers crossed*
Just spent a whole morning of doing housework... cleaning the floor, washing clothes etc... You know, whenever you just get started on something, that's the hardest period of time...Slowly, it gets easier and easier.... until a certain point where its just second nature to you. Then that is when you know you have to step things up a little, to add on more to what you have been doing. It's the same for anything we do...household chores, exercising... etc. As the old adage goes, when the going gets tough, the tough get going. =)

Ok, I just read a post on the portal's bulletin board...and it seems like MOE is pulling out all stops to help single teachers get attached! Hahahaha.... I find it really amusing and hilarious.... It actually specified that only singles can sign up for the activities which they are organising... =)
Oh yeah... bought some stuff from the bazaar today....retail therapy never fails to lift up spirits.

Sigh. Just broke a wine glass. Note to self: Do not wash wine glasses together with other glass-ware in the sink. Also, do not put them together. It results in disasters.

Alright, the haze is really getting to me. Visibility is really bad as I stare out of my window...can't even see the block of flats in simei. Irritated throat and phlegm are just some of the symptoms I have...urgh. It doesn't help that the wind direction is blowing right into our flat. Bravo. This is the time when I think air-con rooms have the cleanest air quality now. I bet the PSI is even higher than 80(at 7pm) at this point in time.
Its really sad that after all these years, we haven't come up with a solution to this problem.
drama
haha...i felt like i was at a scene taken out of a drama serial. today, there was a fire drill at school...and the "fire" had to be "planted" at the science/math block. how lucky of us...we were having a math class when the fire alarm sounded..
so we saw the fire engines from scdf rolling into the nie carpark, them spraying water at the supposed "fire", and finally rescuing 2 cleaners who were trapped on one of the levels. I felt like a kid all over again, cos people around me were taking photos with their cameras and all...it was all quite cool. haha.. so we could see the firemen hard at work.
Anyway...here's a great poem intended to inspire teachers... Just thought I should share it. :)

in other news, there's finally an ATM in school!! Gosh, how long did it take them to figure out that we need readily available cash?! It's like a Godsend! Yay! No more walking all the way to NTU and queueing up in the super long queue just to draw cash. :)
