The sound of aeroplanes

Hehe...had quite a lot of fun the past 3 days... at my "second home". Helped out at the czps sailing camp @ nsc, and I haven't had that much enjoyment in eons! The kids were especially serious on the water, but when they came back on land, it was a totally different story. Boys were sneaking out in the middle of the night, climbing out of their rooms on the first floor to the room on the second floor, pillow fights, people knocking on others' doors for no particular reason...and so on. And, most of the "acts" were comitted by P6 boys. Sigh... Of course there were some "big bosses" around, those who stood and watched and didn't leave a finger to help their teammates. There were others who were loud-mouthed. Haiz...the usual lah.
Anyway, treasure hunt was fun but tiring. Bbq was even more of a headache, cos lotsa food was left over and the kids were small eaters. By the time it ended, we(the teacher and student helpers) were conked-out, dead tired. Therefore, we slept well. That was the 2nd night. The first night was a nightmare. Couldn't sleep well because the kids were running around upstairs doing only god-knows-what, and it was aggravated by the fact that aeroplanes were landing every 7-10 mins. It's no joke man! Every time a plane flies by, the blinking lights and the sound of the engines distract me. Haha...but overall, it was fun lah. But I'm chaota-ed now. All because of the merciless sun yesterday.

Oh well, I'm gonna get more sun in the coming weeks though. Batam trip from the 5th till 9th dec, then starhub regatta on 10-11 dec. Woohoo! Oh yeah...saw alvin hong today at nsc where he was signing up for radial open. Haven't seen him in ages...he looks more erm.... well-nourished now. Haha.

Smile :)

As you have figured out by now, women have severe mood swings. They are unique creatures who can be happy one moment and totally depressed the next. Haha...that's why guys are so baffled and give up trying to understand us, I think. :) Anyway, choy is a happy girl today. Yesterday was totally crap, but today was great! Spending money is a great way to say bye-bye to "cloudy skies". Heh... I went to do my hair today...and I love it. :) Yeah, I can imagine a few friends going "What? You cut your hair again? Its so short!" Sigh...I'm quite tired of explaining myself over and over again...Oh well, as long as I'm happy, nothing else really matters. Too bad my camera phone isn't working. Gotta send it for repair.

Dinner was a packet of wanton mee... and I underestimated it. It did a good job of making me feel full though. Haha...and green tea ice-cream. Heavenly. Simple foods which make my day. In addition to this wonderful day, my bro came in 1st in the Laser class in Port Dickson! Woohoo! I'm happy for him. Well, I didn't really expect anything so that's why I'm so happy for him. As the saying goes, the higer your hopes are, the bigger your disappointment will be. But.... that also means they are only coming back on Tuesday....noon is the earliest. Sigh...gotta find some stuff to occupy myself. Back to the goggle-box.

home alone

Yes, I'm all alone at home...with no one to entertain me...except the company of my trusted goggle box to keep me sane. Can't believe they did it without asking me, especially my dad!! Hmph! Not fair... Not even a word of goodbye. Damnit... and there's not much food at home. Same old food everyday. Bah. I'm really pissed off.

Reminiscing

I was just looking at the class photo I just received....and realised that I miss teaching them...and last year's bunch of kids. The second half of this year has really just flown past in the blink of an eye. Sigh...I'm getting sentimental again. Oh yeah...and a few weeks ago I got to sit in the 'Sports for Life' van...and it suddenly hit me that I spent almost 3 years in that van...travelling to NSC from TKGS every Moday and Wednesday afternoons... I missed the times spent collecting money.. for the transport, and the times we bitched in the van. Wow...those were the days man.

Of course, not forgetting the [SA]ilors... yeah, I miss just everything to do with sailing. Not as much as the school though. JC days were more forgettable...except for the sailing part. I miss Tracey screaming at all of us during training, the gym...and me leaving early on Saturday evenings where I would skip Gerard's de-briefing sessions to rush off to tuition. Haha... and me...capsizing lots of times during the 1st 3 months of year 1 'cos I couldn't handle the big boat. Sigh... We really should have a gathering soon!! Both the TKgians and [SA]ilors... :)

On another note, I can't believe I'm watching Harry Potter with my bro and Scott on Thurs afternoon... on the day before math exam. Sigh... someone just shoot me please. But my bro, being the busy guy that he is, his hols are packed with sailing...going to Port Dickson for a regatta, then coming back to race, then flying over to Brisbane for a training cum racing stint. Cool huh? Yeah... So that's the only spare time he has to catch a movie. Alrighty..have to go and cook rice.

Generation gap?

Ah. The joys and pains of growing up.

People say, 5 years difference? Not a lot what. Some siblings are 10 years apart even. And I'm made to think that 5 years is normal. But is it really? I find it so hard to communicate with him nowadays...and him staying in boarding school isn't helping much either. Actually, its not helping matters at all. Bah.

I need to know something. Is it normal for all teenage boys to be interested in porno stuff? You can call me old-fashioned or whatever, but seriously, is it uncommon now to see boys at the ages of 13 and above surfing these disgusting sites and downloading videos? Please let me know...so that I can be enlightened on this matter? Thanks.

Anyway, bottom line is, I think Cai's right. Its very difficult talking to my bro. I wonder why.

fairness?

Well, I must say that I have renewed faith in the SNOC for granting another extension for our SEA Games thrower, Dong Enxin. I must say that I kind of lost all hope when he failed to meet the cut-off and the SNOC showed no signs of giving another extension. This shows that the officials are not so rigd after all huh? Now, its up to him to make the best of the last chance he's given. Hope Ronald Susilo can regain match fitness in time too.

However, the same cannot be said for another situation regarding an NSA. I mean, what's this about granting a subsidies only to the athletes who committed to it beforehand?? Why do you think they had trouble confirming beforehand? Simply because they don't have the funds and means to do so!! And now you are only granting it only to the people who can make a commitment?? What's this?? The irony is, the NSA gave the subsidy to the "talented athletes" who did not want to commit before; as in they were prepared not to go, unless the NSA granted the subsidies to them. Utter rubbish. You can afford to do that, but you just cannot give it to a "normal" athlete who also has the potential in terms of skill? Gosh. Utterly disappointing.

I shan't say anymore, just in case i"m charged under the sedition act. Hah.

Anyway, on another note, a recent eating rendezvous has kind of turned me off seafood for the time being. Actually, more like indefinitely. To cut the long story short, I think I can't stand the taste of raw oysters anymore. Sashimi is fine....but definitely not oysters. Very sad....cos I loved all kinds of seafood. Maybe I should stop going for any kinds of buffets.

But durian mochis and crepes are just heavenly....Ooh. :) Just thinking of it makes me salivate. Okay...getting kinda disgusting here...

Exam is on friday....next paper is on next friday...after that, I'll be as free as a bird! Well, at least for the next 1 month or so.
