lovely saturday... :)

Hehe...today started off quite well I must say. Despite my earlier reservations and apprehensions, I think I did a pretty good job today! Lolz...*pat on the back* My first meet-the-parents-session! Yeah... I had so many 'breaks' in between seeing parents that I could walk in and out of the classroom and 'spied' on emma and lav from time to time. Haha...

Anyway, went to pet safari with Sarah after that! Woohoo! Finally got my hamster ball! NOw, my hammies can run in it around the house! Whoopee! We had a good time looking at the doggies and 'terrorizing' them...actually, Sarah did the terrorizing. Alright, that's besides the point. :P Then we went down to Tamp central to collect her pants and did some shopping. Yeah, I was 'dragged' along. Couldn't stop my partner in crime. Instead, I even added my two-cents' worth of opinion on her outfits. Lol. And I conveniently blurted out to the salesgirl that we were teachers. How exciting. Sorry Sarah! But at least you didn't let her influence you!

So after that, went home, put down my stuff and went down for a haircut! Yeah...my long overdue haircut which was pointed out several times by my hairdresser. Sigh. I'm a busy woman! Anyway, she did a good job today too! Yayness! Its similar yet a little different.

So anyway, that's an accouont of my eventful and happy day! Haha...ooh ya, forgot to mention there was a brief reprieve from the sweltering heat and bush fires due to the passing showers.
Thank goodness for that.

Just finished watching Desperate Housewives... :) *bliss* Its one of my must-watch tv programmes at the moment...in addition to the latest Survivor instalment. Yeah...I'm a TV buff... :P Can't help it lah. Its intriguing and riveting. Really good entertainment.

Oh, did I mention that my dad is very close to buying a new car? Yup...the new Nissan Latio... And its finally an automatic car. Simply 'cos he has no choice. :) But only if the finance kinks are ironed out. Something to look forward to.

Mosquito fiesta- Urgh...I can't stand it...an inconsiderate neighbour has been breeding mosquitos and at least 15 of them have sucked my precious blood. Eh...buzz off! Itchy... :

Buffet Spread

Sigh...I can't wait for the 1 week break manz... Things are piling up on my plate like nobody's business, as if I'm at a buffet dinner. Meet the parents' session, Sony Creative Toys' Competition, tying up loose ends in the aftermath of total defence day, set SA1 Science paper, on top of weekly perils like LPs and marking compos. Ahh!!!*pulling hair out* Come the 1 week break, it'll be 3/4s way through to the end of my teaching stint, before I go to NIE. Heh... got eye candy at school. Sigh...but no chance. Hmnz...should I or should I not apply for PE Dip(ED)? In a dilemna....Shucks.

On a side note: Spent my weekend reading The Da Vinci Code. It just makes you keep reading on to find out what happens next. My goodness, it was AWESOME! I devoured it in 2 days. It happens when I like the book... :) NExt purchase....Angels and Demons. Can't wait. :P

First

Well, as they say, there's a first to everything. Today is a milestone. It is the first time I encountered such a protective parent and the first time I broke down( I literally sobbed uncontrollably). I've never met such a parent who is so protective of her child and so hurtful with her words. But then again, I'm super sensitive and ultra emotional so it can't be helped I guess. While there is some basis in her concerns for her child, I felt there was no need for the tone which she used against me. But in the heat of the moment, anger really transforms a person. Such is life. Who said everyday is a Sunday? But the VP was really nice about the whole thing and said some really nicce things. Anyhow, she's right, I must sit down and reflect and see how I can improve my way of handling things. Mistakes are but a way of life, they are there so that we can improve ourselves.

Damn. I want to get a boyfriend, quickly get married and move out of the house.

Yeah yeah...me and my lofty dreams.

Can't believe I just said that right?

Anyway, yesterday was a nice chill out session with doggies at Sarah's place. We should do that more often. :)

PS: JAc! Come back soon will ya? Miss u.... :( I need you to keep me sane!

Blessed Chinese New Year

Well...the last few days were pretty hard on the stomach man! Hehe...all the good food....just simply heavenly. And its only Chinese New Year where you get to eat such good food. Just thinking about it makes me salivate. Oh well... had a good break...so now it means getting back to work. Today was...let me see...not so terrifying after all. The day began with all the teachers lamenting about the lack of mood to teach. Hah...so typical right? Then subsequently came the topic of discussion surrounding the issue of having to come back on a friday after holidays. And of course, bringing up examples of other schools declaring it a holiday for students. Muahaha...

Anyway, the anticipated inspection of lessons by NO.1 did not materialise...Thank goodness. So the highlight of the day was the fact that my class was the first to be dismissed! *bliss* Lol.. the reason was that they were well behaved...I was stunned. There was even the comment that they could walk to the gate in 2 straight lines. My goodness, I almost burst out laughing. I fouond the whole thing rather amusing. But I must say that the feeling of being the 1st class to leave the school was quite exhilarating. Haha. Coming a close second was the fact that Clarissa behaved well in my class today. Thank God for Mdm Chee. Heh...she practically sweet talked Clarissa into listening to me I think. Well, all I can say that down's syndrome kids are really an endearing lot. But, it requires patience, love and understanding. Like a double portion of everything.

So Chinese New year is not always about collecting ang pows. Is it? I mean...sometimes, we get so caught up in counting the money that comes in it until we lose the essence of the spirit itself.
Ciaoz.

Kena berated by my dad....left right centre. Eh...actually not so bad but you get the picture lah. :P Yay, will be going over to my uncle's house soon for reunion dinner...yummy food to look forward to! Must eat to my hearts' content! weakling

Sigh....Woke up at 4 am to puke...how bad can it get man? I rather be down with flu, fever and other stuff.... than vomiting. Seriously, anything but vomiting. The feeling sucks big time. Right, let's see whether I can survive tuition for one and a half hours.

Picture postcards from LA

Hah...listening to this song now...(though i dunnoe whether this is the title of the song)... But its damn nice! Kinda sets the mood for the night... Oh wellz... this week somehow feels less stressed.. but the people around me are feeling that way. I swear its the hormonal imbalances man.

On another note, man utd rocks! Woohoo! They beat Arsenal even with ten men! Ferguson shouldn't have made that bet with christiano ronaldo. Lolz. But I must concede that even the premiership title is out of their grasp. Chelsea is simply too good and on the roll. Sigh...

Yay! Chinese New Year is coming! Somehow, we seem to be less prepared this year than previous years....maybe my parents will do last minute shopping for bak kwa and the likes this weekend. Alright...back to marking..."_"
