Sacrifice
I foresee a clash in my schedule... and I think I will make a decision which will affect a number of people. Sigh. Family time means a lot to me though...
Anyways.. yesterday, I was almost forced by circumstances to make a major decision in a regatta. Thankfully, I didn't have to carry it out cause the race was abandoned anyway. But the point is, I know I'm no longer an ignorant race officer who knows nuts about race management....but yet, I am still not experienced enough to make some decisions. For the first time yesterday, I felt scared that I had to bear the consequences of my decision had it been made. I was thrust into the situation which I had to face and overcome. Sigh...we learn new things everyday.
My bro's birthday is tomorrow...he's finally 16! Happy birthday in advance! So we had great food over the weekend for dinner. Sat evening was at brewerkz.... Parents really loved the food. Last night was at Shashlik restaurant at far east shopping centre....wow. The beef fillet that I had was to die for, and the borsch soup....no words can describe it man.
hard gay
You've got to watch this jap guy on youtube! He's damn funny....and erm....entertaining. To say the least. Haha... Just type in "hard gay" on youtube and be entertained! Hilarious!
Spent the whole day trying to figure out why I couldn't access the internet. Finally decided to give Starhub a call and the thing was resolved. Sigh.
dedicated to my favourite friendly bus uncle
He is such a sweet man....a little gesture like saving copies of Today newspapers for me really touched me. My mum used to take the bus in the past and told me about him....now I say "hi" to him whenever I board his bus....so much so that he returns my little gesture through this goodwill on his part. He won't just give me the copy for that day you know...he usually gives me 2 copies! One for that day and one from the previous day! Such a nice man right? =)
Year-end Bonus
Yay! 2.2 months worth of year end bonus going into my bank account...! =)=) Thank goodness for that....have been splurging like nobody's business...cos I will have no time to do so starting from this weekend onwards till 10 dec. Yeah...the excuses I give myself. Gosh. Busy Busy Busy....helping out at regattas and a school sailing camp. =)
Just met up with Tania just now. She's back from Down Under! Heh...had a great time catching up with her.
Oh yeah...I watched Step Up yesterday too! Personally, I think its an enjoyable show...quite good. 'Cos I watch it for the dance moves... :) It is quite similar to Save the Last Dance starring Julia Stiles so I liked both. But some people are saying that since it is so similar, why watch Step Up? To each his own I guess.
Just had dinner... my mum cooks a mean green bean soup man. She uses gula melaka...so yup. Quite sweet... =) Nevertheless, you can't find one outside which gives you lots of green bean in the soup. Heehee.
Looking forward to Cable-ski in batam come 23rd dec... muahaha.
o happy day
Had dinner and catch-up session with huiyi today....good food, good ambience and great service at New York New York.
Just watched the first 13 minutes of the soccer match between man utd and sheffield and the former just conceded one goal. Argh. Switched off the telly and decided to blog instead.
I feel like I can fall asleep any minute now.
CGW 2006
Pleasing kids is not easy....and not a very fun job either. Not when their objective is to simply win prizes. Sigh...kids are always kids.. Being on my feet the whole day really is tiring. One more day to go! Why did I choose to put myself through this?!
Oh yeah... I will be posted to CZ for my 2nd pract as well as final posting I think. I need to thank the P for her persistence. :)
On another note, I hope I will not be in charge of finishing boat at CSC optis... I'm freaking out. Hope R's just kidding.
Holidays are never really a time for one to rest and relax. Just received news that I have to go down to NIE to meet tutor for instructions to prepare for microteaching during 1st week of next sem. Help!
Gonna take a nap now... to replenish energy. Heh.
spring cleaning
only thing is, its not spring yet. ahahaha.
Anyway, I have been clearing unwanted stuff from my room and shelves and cleaning up the dust that has accumulated over the months. Now I know why I have been falling sick....its all because of the dust! You should have seen how thick the layer of dust was. Urgh. It was quite disgusting. The best part is, I'm not through with my room yet! There are still things to be done, although it has already been 2 days of hard work. Sigh.
I love the look of my table now, but it is still work in progress. I think I need storage equipment to put some of my stuff in. But that means spending more money. Which I am trying very hard not to. So I have to find some other ways of reorganising my stuff so my table looks less cluttered. Especially my letters... they have no place to go. :( But I still feel like I have accomplished something. Heh. :) Because the look of my table now is a far cry from before.
Lovely.
liberated
getting rid of rubbish makes me feel that way. of course, retail therapy too.
Inter-monsoon season really is a headache and no fun to be sailing in. Definitely no fun for race officers too... Doesn't help when we are deciding where to lay the marks and the wind swings 180 degrees, or decides to storm, or the wind decides to die down within minutes. Sigh. Last day of racing tomorrow...=)
Oh yeah, SSF recently acquired some table-tennis tables...so now our sailors are honing their table-tennis skills in addition to sailing. Wah, soon we'll become table tennis federation...hahaha. So yup...
